BlockBeats news, October 2 — NEAR Intents stated that it has confirmed the identity of the individual behind the security vulnerability that caused approximately $3.8 million in user fund losses on Thursday, and has given the person a 48-hour deadline to return the relevant funds under a "responsible disclosure" framework.
NEAR Intents General Manager Alex Shevchenko said, "We have confirmed your identity." At the same time, three different wallet addresses were published for receiving Bitcoin, BNB, and Solana. "You know better than most how responsible disclosure works — this is the last chance to use this mechanism. After 48 hours, this window will close."
On Thursday, NEAR Intents suspended related services after discovering "a vulnerability in the interaction between the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and the NEAR Intents smart contract."
