Beating AI News: Ideogram has released Ideogram 4.5, focusing on solving the problem of AI images gradually degrading after repeated edits. When a user continuously modifies the same image, the model tries to change only the specified content while preserving the color, texture, composition, and details of other areas.
The API offers two modes: Precise Edit and Generate + Edit. The former outputs at the original image size and is suitable for changing text, colors, lighting, and product details; the latter allows continued editing while generating an image. The model also supports reference images and masks, enabling product color changes, step-by-step restoration of old photos, and direct replacement or translation of text in images.
4.5 comes in four quality tiers, priced from 0.8 cents to 22 cents per image. It is now available on Ideogram, the API, and multiple partner platforms, and the company has also announced that the model weights will be open-sourced.
