BlockBeats news, September 29 — Santiment Intelligence posted that last week, approximately $2.4 billion in inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs pushed BTC off trading platforms, with market supply showing signs of tightening.
Santiment data shows that between September 20 and September 27, BTC supply on trading platforms decreased by about 35,800 coins, falling to 1.325 million coins, with net flow data consistent with this downward trend. In contrast, in the previous week (September 13 to September 20), the amount of BTC on trading platforms increased by nearly 20,000 coins. Taken together over the two weeks, about 15,900 BTC left trading platforms, but current trading platform supply remains above all levels during July.
Among this, on September 22 alone, BTC supply decreased by about 26,700 coins, roughly twice the usual daily outflow, a scale that indicates the change was not merely caused by address reclassification.
In response, Santiment said that more than half of last week's decline in BTC supply on trading platforms had already shown a reverse change in the prior week. ETF fund flows are an important background factor affecting recent changes in BTC supply.
