BlockBeats news, September 29: Cross-chain transaction protocol Relay disclosed that its API had exposed information on pending transactions, which MEV searchers used to front-run and sandwich user orders. The incident mainly occurred between September 12 and 26, especially concentrated from the 23rd to the 26th, affecting approximately 5,600 users, with a median loss of about $11.88, and searchers profiting a total of about $136,000.

Relay has paid a $50,000 bounty to @Outputlayer, who discovered and reported the issue, and will automatically compensate affected users' wallets with a total of about $312,000, without the need for separate applications. Relay stated that it will continue to improve execution quality and privacy protection along transaction paths.
