Blockchain.com plans to raise about $500 million through an IPO, targeting a valuation of up to $6 billion.

BlockBeats news, September 29: Crypto trading platform and wallet service provider Blockchain.com plans to raise approximately $500 million through an IPO this year, with a target valuation between $4 billion and $6 billion. If necessary to complete the listing, the company is also willing to accept a smaller offering. This valuation is significantly lower than the $14 billion it reached during the previous crypto market peak in 2022.

Blockchain.com confidentially submitted a draft registration statement to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in May this year to prepare for a potential IPO, but did not disclose the number of shares to be issued or the price range at that time.

This listing plan comes as the crypto market recovers, and capital market financing channels for related companies begin to reopen. Bitcoin has risen more than 30% since mid-August. However, the environment for crypto companies going public remains challenging, with recent listings Gemini, BitGo, and eToro still down about 50% to 80% from their respective post-IPO highs.
