BlockBeats news, September 28: In the "Bitget Incident Review" livestream, Xie Jiajin, head of Bitget's Chinese-speaking region, stated that the suspension of withdrawals following the previous attack was because the incident involved multiple chains, rather than being concentrated in a single asset or a single network. Before every step is fully investigated and verified, Bitget does not want any users to be exposed to risk. Resuming withdrawals requires completing the repair and security verification of each chain separately, and restoring them in phases by chain and by asset takes time.
Xie Jiajin stated that the suspension of withdrawals has nothing to do with whether Bitget has sufficient funds. Bitget's protection fund reaches $464 million, fully covering the losses from this attack. In addition, Bitget's proof of reserves is 127%, which is completely public and transparent.
