BlockBeats news, September 27 — Recent statistics from IOSG show that as of August 11, 2026, Binance has delisted 42 spot tokens and 28 USDT-margined perpetual contracts year-to-date. The number of spot delistings has already surpassed any full year since 2022, with delisting announcements issued approximately every 28 days, a marked acceleration from 52 days in 2025.
The elimination logic for spot and contracts has also diverged: the median survival period for delisted spot projects rose from 4.1 years in 2022 to 5.1 years in 2026, while for contracts it fell from 1.3 years to 0.8 years. Among the contracts delisted this year, 23 were listed in 2025.
IOSG analysis points out that fully diluted valuation (FDV) and open interest (OI) better reflect a token's delisting risk than trading volume. In 2026, spot tokens with an FDV below $10 million had a delisting rate of 49%, while tokens with an FDV above $100 million had no delisting cases so far; contracts with OI below $1 million had a delisting rate of 31%, while contracts with OI above $20 million had no delisting cases so far.
By contrast, the correlation between trading volume and delisting risk is weaker, with some contracts that had relatively high average daily trading volume still being delisted. In addition, issuance channels within the Binance ecosystem did not provide long-term listing guarantees. Among the contracts delisted this year, 63% came from Binance Alpha, and 11 of the 42 delisted spot tokens had previously been issued through Launchpool or Launchpad.
