Aave V4 Launches on Base with Stock-Collateralized Lending, 7 Tokenized Coinbase US Stocks Can Borrow USDC

BlockBeats news, September 25: Aave V4 has launched the Equities Hub on Base, allowing eligible non-U.S. users to borrow USDC using seven tokenized U.S. stocks issued by Coinbase as collateral. The first batch supports tokenized stocks of Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla, with Chainlink providing on-chain price oracles.

The market has an initial total stock collateral cap of approximately $29 million, a USDC supply cap of $32 million, and a borrowing cap of $21 million, with collateral ratios for different stocks ranging from 65% to 79%. Aave stated that more Coinbase tokenized stocks and GHO borrowing assets may be added in the future, subject to governance and risk assessment. Aave's cumulative deposit scale has reached $3.6 trillion, and its historical loan scale has exceeded $1 trillion.
