Magic Eden: Today's incident was not a platform attack, but a vulnerability in the Limit Break trading protocol smart contract.

BlockBeats news, September 25: Magic Eden CEO Jack posted that Magic Eden was not attacked today, and the related incident originated from Limit Break's trading protocol and smart contract. Magic Eden stated that it stopped using the protocol two years ago.

Jack said that Magic Eden is in communication with Limit Break to further address the situation, including pushing to suspend the transfer of related assets at the protocol level. Before that, users should revoke the relevant authorizations on Magic Eden.

Jack also thanked white-hat hacker 0xQuit for assisting in recovering the stolen assets, saying that he prevented the situation from worsening further. Magic Eden stated that it will announce more updates after further confirming the situation.
