Genius Terminal co-founder responds to S2 points controversy: rules can be adjusted, personal tokens will not unlock before users.

BlockBeats news, September 25: Genius Terminal co-founder Ryan Myher responded to controversy regarding Genius's adjustment of Season 2 points rules: "Genius is essentially a terminal for trading crypto assets, and points are just additional benefits users may receive when trading on Genius. Every user who comes to trade on Genius has agreed to our airdrop terms. If you've been using it since SZN 1, then users have actually agreed twice. If you don't accept these terms, you can't use the platform. Points are inherently additional benefits, so the points rules will be adjusted based on actual circumstances. Recently, terminal trading volume has decreased somewhat, so the daily points issued have also decreased. One thing can be guaranteed: personal tokens will not unlock before user tokens."

Earlier on the 24th: The Season 2 points campaign of on-chain trading terminal Genius, invested in by YZi Labs, has undergone adjustments. The community says the campaign promised to unlock 70 million GENIUS tokens on October 25 to incentivize user trading and points accumulation. Official documentation previously stated that Season 2 would run from April 10 to August 10, with 1.5 million points daily; recently, the relevant page has been updated, the statement that the season runs from April 10 to August 10 has been removed from the current documentation, and daily points have dropped to 50,000. CoinMarketCap data shows that the unlock time for these 70 million tokens has been postponed to February 2028. Some participants are demanding unlocking according to the original schedule, or a refund of Season 2-related fees.
