Beating AI News Flash: Meta has announced that it is integrating its personal AI Agent Muse into its AI glasses. Users will be able to directly call Muse through the glasses and then hand tasks over to it. Muse will continue executing in the background and come back to tell the user the result once finished, without the need to keep pulling out a phone to operate it.
What it can do is no longer limited to answering questions. For example, users can have Muse guide them through personalized training, log a meal and analyze its nutrition, or book services and check flight prices. When seeing a product they want to buy, they can also directly ask it to help with the purchase; while driving or cooking, they can also have it search online for the parts they need.
Meta's glasses had previously been integrated with Muse Spark, which was mainly responsible for understanding what users see, answering questions, and providing suggestions. What has been integrated this time is the full Muse Agent. It can connect to services such as calendars and shopping, turning a single voice command through the glasses into a background task.
Meta is also significantly expanding its AI glasses product line. By the end of the year, Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses will together offer more than 100 styles. The newly released Ray-Ban Meta Audio even directly removes the camera, retaining only audio and AI, with a maximum single-charge battery life of 12 hours. Glasses are becoming the all-day entry point Meta has prepared for Muse.
