Meta Puts Muse into a Keychain: Chat with a Fingerprint Press, Shipping in December

Beating AI News Flash: Meta has built a dedicated small device, the Muse Charm, for its personal AI Agent Muse. It is only the size of a keychain, with a screen on the front that displays Muse's real-time virtual avatar. Press the fingerprint sensor in the corner, and you can start talking to Muse directly, without first unlocking your phone or opening an app.

Zuckerberg said Meta has packed Muse's real-time voice and Avatar system into this device. Muse itself can continue executing tasks in the background while holding long conversations with the user. For people who do not wear Meta glasses, he called the Charm the current "fastest" entry point to Muse.

The device is actually still very early-stage. Meta has only made a few units so far, and neither the casing material nor the internal component layout has been finalized, but it already plans to ship in time for the December holiday season, with pricing not yet announced.

It easily brings to mind the Rabbit R1 and the Humane AI Pin. The difference is that Meta is not trying to make the Charm support an entire AI product on its own. Muse already runs simultaneously on phones, the web, and Mac, and will later enter Meta glasses as well.
