Hut8 Wins Bid for Poolin's Texas Data Center with $140 Million

BlockBeats news, September 24: Hut 8 won the bid for bankrupt crypto mining company Poolin's Pyote and Tarbush data centers in Texas for $140 million, nearly three times the initial baseline bid of $52 million.

The deal still requires approval from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, with a related hearing scheduled for September 29. Poolin owes approximately $173 million, of which about $163.7 million is unsecured debt owed to Poolin wallet users. This acquisition will further expand Hut 8's AI infrastructure footprint.
