BlockBeats news, September 20: Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Rezaei stated that Iran is continuing mediation communications through Qatar and Pakistan, and has notified relevant intermediaries of its negotiation conditions.
Rezaei said Qatar has conveyed Iran's ceasefire conditions to Washington, and Iran is currently awaiting a response from U.S. President Trump. Rezaei stated that Iran's conditions for ending the war include ending the war on all fronts, releasing frozen assets, and lifting the maritime blockade. He said that U.S. acceptance of Iran's proposed conditions would serve Washington's interests, and Trump's threats will not yield results. On the nuclear issue, Rezaei said that actions by the United States and Israel have given Iran grounds to withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, but Iran has not yet made a decision to withdraw, and the next step will depend on Washington's behavior. He also emphasized that Iran still abides by the nuclear ban issued by the late Supreme Leader, and its nuclear policy has not changed.
In addition, Rezaei stated that Iran hopes to end the war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthi armed group, and believes that the Yemeni side also hopes to reach an agreement with Saudi Arabia. Rezaei said Iran is prepared to respond to an escalation of conflict, and warned that if attacked, Iran will strike U.S. bases and interests in the Middle East.
