Step 5 Leaked Early: AA Benchmark Score Matches Kimi K3, Output Price Less Than 1/5

AA notes that it has approximately 600B total parameters, 27B activated per inference, supports image input, and a 1 million Token context.

It scored 44 on the latest Intelligence Index, on par with Kimi K3 Max. On Terminal-Bench 4.0, Step 5 Preview scored 33%, while Kimi K3 scored 13%; on SciCode, both scored 59%.

Step 5 Preview costs $1 per million input Tokens and $2.7 for output; Kimi K3 costs $3 and $15 respectively. Step 5's output price is less than one-fifth of K3's, and the cost for AA to run the full Intelligence Index suite is only about one-quarter of K3's.

StepFun has not yet officially announced Step 5, but AA has already completed the evaluation through the StepFun API. The parameters and pricing are currently not yet the official final figures.
