ChatGPT Pro 20x begins to recover, but new users still can't buy it.

The latest official rule is that only users who have recently used Pro 20x have a one-time opportunity to resubscribe. New regular users and upgrades from other plans remain suspended.

Specifically, users who still had Pro 20x on September 10, or whose subscriptions ended within the previous 30 days, may be eligible. After cancellation, failed renewal, or downgrade, the resubscription window is retained for up to 30 days, and can only be used once. The core difference of Pro 20x remains usage volume, with a quota 20 times that of Plus.

OpenAI suspended the $200 tier on the 10th of this month due to surging demand for Astra. Tibo Sottiaux, who is responsible for ChatGPT and Codex, said at the time that demand for Astra was "unprecedented," and that Pro 20x put the greatest pressure on the system.
