SEC Chair: With the CLARITY Act stalled, decides to open on-chain trading of tokenized stocks first through an "innovation exemption."

BlockBeats news, September 17: SEC Chairman Paul Atkins released a video statement saying: More than a year ago, the SEC launched the "Project Crypto" initiative, with the goal of amending federal securities laws to enable U.S. capital markets to move on-chain, but this week Congress failed to advance the CLARITY Act, so the SEC decided to take the lead within its own statutory authority.
