Beating AI News Flash: AI blogger Mark Kretschmann has revealed that OpenAI is preparing to launch a new product temporarily called Codex Bot, developed based on OpenClaw. It was originally planned for release this week but has now been postponed to next week.
Sam Altman just said today that the "major new thing" originally scheduled for release this week has been delayed to next week; and when OpenAI recruited OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger in February this year, it also said he would be responsible for developing the "next-generation personal Agent."
Mark claims that Codex Bot will be more like Grok Bot than the existing ChatGPT Work. The latter is equivalent to a group of long-term online "AI colleagues" that can use their own work environment and continuously get things done across websites and apps.
