BlockBeats news, September 17: Paradigm founder Matt Huang tweeted a comment on Zcash. He stated that every blockchain ecosystem faces the long-term funding challenge for public goods, and funding developer funds through inflation is a relatively elegant mechanism; how the funds are allocated can be discussed and continuously improved, and against the backdrop of accelerating AI cyberattack capabilities and quantum computing progress, developer funds remain very important.
Regarding governance, Matt Huang said that as Zcash is accepted by more users as a privacy-complementary asset to Bitcoin, voting solely based on token holdings will bring uncertainty and may limit its long-term trust as a monetary asset; the project would be better off combining token-holder voting with other governance forms.
