BlockBeats news, September 17: The Arc team, Circle's public blockchain, announced in the early hours of today that the minting of ARC tokens has been completed, with a total supply of 10 billion tokens. The announcement stated that this is a technical milestone for the Arc mainnet, aimed at transitioning to PoS consensus in the future.
The announcement also emphasized that ARC tokens are not yet in circulation, tradable, available for public use, or activated for staking, governance, fees, or utility functions. The Arc network currently still uses proof of authority. Future ARC functions and activation may still change.
According to the previous whitepaper, the ARC token distribution plan is: 60% allocated to the ecosystem (token sales, developer grants, network growth); 25% allocated to Circle (protocol development, staking and governance); 15% allocated to long-term reserves (strategic flexibility and economic stability).
