US House Speaker: 'Big names' in AI to attend important meeting at the White House

Johnson said the approach to setting guardrails for AI must be balanced and thoughtful. "I think independent audit institutions are needed, and the people developing this technology need to remain transparent. There are some very important concepts that can serve as guardrails," he said.

Previously, on September 14, Trump posted on Truth Social saying that the recent controversy surrounding artificial intelligence and data centers is fundamentally due to the fact that "the United States leads every other country, and by a lot." He warned that this advantage should not be killed because of the related controversy.

Trump said: "Don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs." This statement comes as discussions in the United States are heating up over the expansion of AI data centers, energy consumption, and the pace of frontier AI development.
