Hand Over Bank Accounts to Agents Too: Pion Wants AI to Independently Run an Entire Company

Beating AI News Flash: AI evaluation agency Andon Labs has launched Pion, handing over an entire company directly to a long-running Agent. Humans only need to provide the general direction; the management Agent "Andonos" will coordinate other Agents to keep the company running continuously.

These Agents can directly use email, phone, bank accounts, browsers, and terminals to handle customers, employees, and daily operations. Andon Labs has already used the same system to operate vending machines, the San Francisco store Andon Market, the Stockholm cafe Andon Cafe, and an AI radio station.

However, Pion is currently more like a real-world experiment. Andon Labs admits that its stores and cafe are currently not profitable, and the Agents still make various operational errors. Pion is currently only opening a research preview waitlist, and the company also stated it will fund some selected projects, allowing them to run Pion for free.
