South Korean securities trading platforms will add after-hours trading until 8 PM starting today.

BlockBeats news, September 14 - The Korea Exchange officially launched after-hours trading on September 14 Beijing time. The regular stock trading session remains from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. With the new system in place, investors can continue trading until 8 p.m. after the exchange's regular close. Regarding pre-market trading, due to the securities industry's feedback on the significant burden of IT system development and personnel operations, the Korea Exchange has postponed the pre-market session, originally scheduled to launch simultaneously today, to the end of 2027. As for whether ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds) and ETNs (Exchange-Traded Notes), which have drawn market attention, will be included in after-hours trading, out of consideration for market volatility, the Korea Exchange stated that ETFs and ETNs will not be included in after-hours trading for the time being.
