Ampleforth hit by governance proposal attack, $2.5 million USDC transfer request temporarily not passed

BlockBeats news, September 14: The GoPlus Chinese community issued a security alert stating that on September 12, a newly activated EOA address launched a proposal attack on Ampleforth, requesting the transfer of 2.5 million USDC (nearly all liquid funds in the treasury) to the proposer under the pretext of "applying for completed work funding for SPOT ecosystem analysis tools." As of press time, the proposal is still in Pending status, no one has voted, and the funds have not been transferred.

GoPlus pointed out that the proposal threshold is 75,000 FORTH, and the passing threshold is 600,000 FORTH. At the price of $0.27 at the time of the alert, approximately $160,000 would be sufficient to gather the passing votes. The proposer/recipient address currently holds about 87,200 FORTH voting rights; the delegating address also holds about 87,200 FORTH and delegated the voting rights to the proposer 19 minutes before the proposal.
