BlockBeats news, September 11 — Japan's largest Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet announced it will establish a wholly-owned subsidiary, Metaplanet Asset Management Asia Limited, as the group's trading execution and asset management hub in Asia, with an initial capital contribution of $1 million, expected to be established in September 2026.
The new subsidiary will operate in coordination with Metaplanet Asset Management Inc. (MAM), previously established in Miami, USA, primarily responsible for asset buy and sell trade execution during Asian hours and risk management operations including position and market dynamics monitoring, with Bitcoin, Bitcoin-related stocks, and credit instruments such as preferred securities issued by Bitcoin treasury companies as its main investment targets.
As of June 30, Metaplanet held 43,000 BTC, with a total cost of approximately $4.09 billion and an average cost price of approximately $95,209.
