Beating AI News: OpenAI's core product lead, Tibo Sottiaux, announced that GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark will be retired next week. The model's usage has been steadily declining, and OpenAI now has significantly better models available.

Spark launched in February this year as a small, high-speed version of GPT-5.3-Codex and was OpenAI's first model specifically designed for real-time coding. It runs on Cerebras chips, generates over 1,000 tokens per second, and was only available to ChatGPT Pro users.
