BlockBeats news, September 11 — Oracle released its first-quarter results for fiscal year 2027, with adjusted earnings per share of $1.92, beating market expectations of $1.75; adjusted total revenue was $19.35 billion, also above the expected $19.13 billion.
By business segment, cloud infrastructure (IaaS) revenue was $7.39 billion, above the expected $7.19 billion; software support revenue was $4.9 billion, slightly above the expected $4.88 billion; software license revenue was $655 million, below the expected $718.8 million.
Boosted by the results and cloud business performance, Oracle (ORCL) rose more than 5% in U.S. after-hours trading.
Oracle has been accelerating its bets on AI cloud infrastructure in recent years. At the end of the previous fiscal year, remaining performance obligations (RPO) had reached $638 billion, up 363% year-over-year, with large-scale AI cloud contracts becoming an important driver of order growth.
