Apple's foldable iPhone Duo starts at RMB 15,999 for the China version, officially launching on October 23.

BlockBeats News, September 10 - Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, which features a 7.6-inch inner display when unfolded, marking the largest screen ever on an iPhone; when folded, it uses a 5.4-inch outer display, equivalent to 90% of the iPhone 18 Pro's screen area. Both displays support ProMotion, always-on display, and up to 3,000 nits of outdoor brightness.


The new device boasts a Grade 5 titanium body and a precision hinge composed of over 100 components, supports IP68 dust and water resistance, and integrates Touch ID into the side button. Powered by a 2-nanometer A20 Pro chip and a custom vapor chamber, the iPhone Duo delivers up to 35% higher sustained performance compared to the iPhone 17 Pro, and supports split-screen multitasking with two apps running simultaneously. It features a 48-megapixel main camera and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, with the foldable design enabling rear camera selfies and real-time preview on the outer display.


The new phone adopts a dual-battery architecture, supporting up to 44 hours of video playback when using the outer screen. The iPhone Duo comes in Star White and Midnight Sky color options, with storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB, starting at $1,999 in the U.S. Pre-orders begin on October 16, with official sales starting October 23, and it will be among the first wave of releases in over 70 countries and regions, including China.


China pricing for the new iPhone series: iPhone 18 Pro starts at RMB 9,999, iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at RMB 10,999, and iPhone Duo starts at RMB 15,999.
