Microsoft's AI cloud business catches up with Google, smart money bets on tenfold returns, predicting Microsoft's market cap to surpass Google by September.

According to PolyBeats monitoring, 15 hours ago, BobInvestments placed $1,500 on "Will Microsoft become the world's 3rd largest company by market cap before the end of the month?" with a "Yes" position, at an average buy probability of 10.4%. The current "Yes" probability stands at 5.5%.

Based on current market capitalization, if Google's market cap remains unchanged, Microsoft would need to rise approximately 11.8% to catch up.

BobInvestments deployed $1,500, and its best-performing related sector in this market is macroeconomics, with net profits of $10,600 in that sector. Across 161 settled trades in this sector, its win rate is 91/161 (57%), including 1 trade where the buy price was below $0.80 and the sell price exceeded $0.95. Within a similar cost-price range ($0.051–$0.20), its historical median position size is $1,100.

Microsoft recently disclosed revenue for its cloud business Azure for the first time. According to Reuters on the 2nd, the business generated $29.4 billion in revenue for the most recent quarter, with full-year revenue reaching $101.9 billion. Microsoft CFO Amy Hood will attend the Goldman Sachs Technology Conference on the 9th, while AI business head Jared Spataro will participate in Citi's Global Technology Conference on the 10th. Investors will focus on Azure growth, AI spending, Copilot commercialization, and margin data—these two events represent the most direct company-level catalysts before the end of the month.

Google Cloud and Accenture announced on the 8th the formation of a 1,000-person Gemini enterprise resident engineer team. Detailed remedial requirements from the Google ad tech antitrust case are expected to be made public around the 16th. If the remedies are stringent, they could raise Google's compliance costs, weaken monetization of its ad business, and pressure its market valuation.
