A major whale has taken a short position on U.S. stock indices with leverage up to 50x, totaling $20.6 million.

BlockBeats News, September 9 - According to TradingBeats monitoring, the address starting with 0x2b0f concentrated on shorting U.S. stock indices this morning, building up a total short position of approximately $20.5889 million in Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500.


The position building mainly focused on two index contracts:


Nasdaq XYZ100: From 07:03 to 09:10, a cumulative short of 331.6331 contracts was executed, with a transaction value of approximately $9.7866 million, at an average entry price of about $29,510.4;


S&P SP500: From 07:11 to 07:25, a cumulative short of 1408.172 contracts was executed, with a transaction value of approximately $10.8023 million, at an average entry price of about $7,671.15.


As of press time, both short positions remain fully held, with a total value of approximately $20.6156 million and an unrealized loss of about $26,600. They employ 30x and 50x full-margin leverage respectively, with liquidation prices at approximately $30,803.7 and $7,970.8.


Fund records show that the address received approximately 771,300 USDC at 07:00 today, followed by another 25,000 USDC, totaling deposits of about 796,300 USDC; the first index trade occurred at 07:03, roughly 3 minutes after the initial funds arrived.
