BlockBeats News, September 9 - Loracle, the largest PONS short seller on Hyperliquid, posted on X calling out Robinhood founder Vlad Tenev, asking whether his market makers could increase PONS/USDG liquidity on the Lighter platform.
Loracle previously drew market attention for shorting PONS. The size of its PONS short position once reached tens of millions of dollars and continued to grow, with the community even launching a "whale hunt" campaign to trade against its short position.
Loracle later revealed that it had launched PONS-related trading products, with the fee routing feature not yet enabled but set to open subsequently; due to quickly approaching the safe position cap, new positions will be gradually opened. It stated that the vault holds funds and uses part of the profits and losses for buybacks, while authorizing off-chain Keepers to execute trades via API Key.
This move also sparked heated discussion in the Robinhood Chain community, with some PONS longs publicly calling for increased spot buying to squeeze Loracle's short position, attempting to push it into liquidation.
According to TradingBeats monitoring, Loracle currently still holds a PONS short position worth approximately $21.83 million, with floating losses exceeding $3.37 million.
