Iran claims to have captured the "world's most advanced intelligent unmanned submarine," but the U.S. has not yet confirmed the report.

BlockBeats News, September 8 - According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy claimed that it captured a U.S. unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) at the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz early this morning local time and brought it back to Iran.

The IRGC Navy stated that this submarine is "one of the most advanced intelligent unmanned submarines in the world today," delivered to the U.S. Navy in 2025, and was seized at a "complex" facility. The IRGC will release photos of the vehicle within hours.
