AI chip startup Celero raises $275 million, co-led by Alphabet's venture arm CapitalG and others.

BlockBeats News, September 8 - According to Bloomberg, Celero Communications, a network chip manufacturer, has completed a $275 million funding round, valuing the company at over $3 billion post-funding. As market demand for improving the operational efficiency of AI data centers continues to grow, Celero is benefiting from this trend.

The funding round, expected to be announced on Tuesday, was co-led by Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and CapitalG, the venture capital arm of Alphabet. Gavin Baker, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Atreides, will join Celero's board of directors.

Founded two years ago, Celero develops coherent digital signal processors designed to accelerate data transmission for AI systems over fiber optics. Its products can be used to connect adjacent data centers or different racks within the same data center, enabling more AI chips to be linked together to form larger-scale computing clusters.
