YZi Labs ranked as the world's second most active family office in August, participating in 10 funding rounds totaling $42.1 million.

BlockBeats News, September 8 - According to data service provider FINTRX, family offices participated in a total of 109 deals in August, with the aggregate funding amount disclosed across related financing rounds reaching $16.9 billion. Among these, follow-on rounds, where family offices continue to inject capital into companies they already hold, accounted for 27% of the total deal count. This suggests that family offices are more active in seeking out and investing in new projects compared to doubling down on existing holdings.

The most active institution in August was a16z Perennial. Founded in 2022, a16z Perennial is a joint family office under venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, providing wealth management and investment services for its core partners Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, as well as the entrepreneurs they back. As of the end of 2025, a16z Perennial managed approximately $2.74 billion in regulatory assets under management. In August, a16z Perennial participated in 17 deals, ranking first, with the total scale disclosed across related financing rounds reaching approximately $10.45 billion.

Ranking second was YZi Labs, under Binance founder CZ. YZi Labs manages over $10 billion in assets globally, with investment coverage spanning Web3, artificial intelligence, healthcare, and other sectors, investing in startups at various stages of development. In August, YZi Labs participated in 10 deals, second only to a16z Perennial; however, the total scale of financing rounds involved in these deals stood at $42.1 million, with a significant presence in large funding rounds sized at hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars.

It should be noted that the aforementioned amounts refer to the aggregate funding scale of all investors in the relevant financing rounds, not the actual capital contributed by the family offices themselves. Due to the highly private nature of family office investing, the specific investment amount of a single family office in each deal is typically difficult to obtain. (Family Office New Insights)
