ChatGPT Work Adds Writing Style Learning: Your Writing Will Sound More Like You Going Forward

动察 Beating AI Flash: OpenAI has launched a "Writing style" feature for ChatGPT Work. After connecting Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, and SharePoint, it can directly learn your writing style from past emails, messages, and files, including commonly used words, fixed sign-offs, and capitalization habits. When you then ask Work to write emails, messages, or documents, it will automatically apply these habits.

Previously, to make ChatGPT "write like you," you typically had to describe your tone yourself or repeatedly provide sample texts. Now this step can be handed directly to Work, which automatically learns from your existing work content. One issue that has sparked considerable discussion in the community is that people's writing styles naturally differ across contexts—for instance, Gmail and Slack may involve entirely different tones. OpenAI has not yet clarified how it will handle such cases.

Currently, this can be set up on the web at "Settings → Personalization → Writing style," and it will then be applied across ChatGPT Work's web and mobile platforms.
