H100 rental prices surge 22% in a month, Jensen Huang: GPUs are income-generating assets

动察 Beating AI Flash: NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang reposted data from computing power market Ornn. Ornn stated that the H100, a training GPU launched years ago, has seen rental prices rise 22% over the past month, reaching $3.28 per unit per hour. Huang used this to emphasize that NVIDIA's computing power can generate ongoing rental income, positioning it as an income-producing asset.

Ornn's H100 index is calculated based on actual lease transaction prices. Its daily settlement price on September 7 was $3.17 per hour, with the latest figure shown by Ornn further climbing to $3.28.

This data supports the "computing power durability" logic Huang has repeatedly stressed recently. NVIDIA also noted in its latest earnings call that GPUs can be redeployed across different customers and workloads.
