Hunter Biden Meme Coin LAPTOP Disclosure: Token Has No Utility or Development Roadmap, Buyers May Lose Entire Investment

BlockBeats News, September 8 - The token disclosure document for LAPTOP, a Meme coin issued by Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, reveals that LAPTOP is issued by the Phoenix Veritas Foundation in the Cayman Islands and Phoenix Veritas Ventures Ltd, a British Virgin Islands company, and was co-founded by Hunter Biden and others. LAPTOP is defined as an ERC-20 community token and digital collectible deployed on Base. The project team explicitly stated that the token has no utility functions and no plans to develop future utility features, and it cannot be used for staking.

Holding LAPTOP does not represent equity in Phoenix Veritas Foundation, Phoenix Veritas Ventures Ltd, or other entities, nor does it grant holders voting, governance, revenue, profit-sharing, dividend, or income rights. The project team stated that its value derives entirely from community sentiment, and the issuer has not previously conducted fundraising activities around LAPTOP.

The risk disclosure section further notes that LAPTOP will be provided on an "as-is" basis, with the project team making no commitments to any development roadmap and having no obligation to continue developing the token. LAPTOP has no price floor, buyback, or redemption mechanism, with its price driven entirely by Meme culture sentiment and market speculation, and purchasers may lose their entire invested capital. Additionally, 65% of the LAPTOP supply is subject to lock-up or multi-year vesting arrangements, and the future release or sale of these concentrated holdings could create selling pressure.
