Hunter Biden actually plans to launch a coin to "compensate" TRUMP losers? 20% of the total token supply will be used for compensation, and up to 30% of tokens will be burned based on the outcomes of 30 events.

BlockBeats News, September 7 - According to WSJ, Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, announced today that he will launch the Meme coin $LAPTOP, scheduled to go live on September 9 on Coinbase's Base network. The project centers on the "Hunter Biden laptop incident," which sparked massive controversy in U.S. politics in 2020, transforming this political event and its衍生 internet culture into an on-chain Meme asset.

The $LAPTOP project is not intended to provide new blockchain infrastructure or financial products, but rather serves as a community-driven token centered on political figures, social events, and Meme culture. The project team hopes that through the token launch, the political symbols, online topics, and supporter communities formed by Hunter Biden and his laptop incident can be further extended into the crypto market.

The total supply of the project is 1 billion tokens. The founding team, including Hunter Biden, will hold 30%, with related tokens locked for 6 months and vested over two years; another 20% will be allocated in two batches to $TRUMP losers, Hunter Biden's Substack subscribers, and the email list users maintained by video journalist Andrew Callaghan.

The project also features a relatively unique "event burn mechanism": up to 30% of the $LAPTOP supply will be tied to the outcomes of 30 preset events. For example, if a Democratic candidate wins the 2028 U.S. presidential election, Bitcoin reaches a new all-time high, or $LAPTOP's fully diluted valuation exceeds $TRUMP, the project team will burn corresponding tokens according to the rules to reduce circulating supply. If the relevant events do not achieve the preset outcomes, the corresponding proportion of tokens will be donated to charitable organizations.

The remaining 20% of tokens will be used for charity, liquidity building, exchange partners and market maker allocations, as well as accounting, legal, administrative, and compliance expenses for the project foundation.

From a positioning perspective, $LAPTOP is closer to an experimental project combining "political Meme + event narrative + token economics," with its core value derived not from technological innovation or practical utility, but from the attention generated by Hunter Biden himself, U.S. political topics, and community dissemination.

BlockBeats reminds users that Meme coins typically lack intrinsic value, with prices often experiencing violent fluctuations within hours or days of launch, and investors may face the risk of substantial or even near-total loss of principal.
