Binance Wallet intercepted potential losses of $540 million in the first half of the year, as AI-driven crypto scams accelerate in sophistication.

BlockBeats News, September 7 - According to official disclosures from Binance, in the first half of 2026, the Binance Wallet Security Center helped users avoid approximately $540 million in potential losses, providing real-time risk interception across multiple stages including spam transfers, malicious transactions, and authorizations.

Data shows that in the first half of the year, the Security Center filtered approximately 206 million spam transfers, covering 2.6 million users; identified approximately 4.93 million high-risk transactions across 19 blockchains; and detected approximately 996,000 malicious authorizations. Binance stated that attackers are leveraging AI to mass-generate malicious code, phishing websites, and fake identities, causing the number of new malicious entities to nearly triple quarter-over-quarter, with attack patterns shifting from "broad net casting" to more targeted fraud.

Binance noted that its security system has begun using AI to analyze the behavioral logic and risk intent of tokens and websites, with a focus on identifying new attack types such as "buy-only, no-sell" schemes and hidden backdoors. Users are still advised to verify specific transaction details before signing, and to regularly scan for risky authorizations and assets via the Binance Wallet Security Center.
