BlockBeats News, September 7 — Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee recently shared his view that Ethereum (ETH) resembles "digital land" more than cash. Lee believes the core value of a quality asset lies in its store-of-value capability, meaning investors trust it can reliably hold and allocate capital over the long term.
Lee noted that stocks can serve as store-of-value assets because investors buy shares with the expectation that companies will manage capital effectively; real estate combines store-of-value and cash flow attributes, generating income through rentals. Under this framework, he argues that Ethereum is closer to the stock market or land, with its long-term value primarily derived from the network itself as underlying infrastructure.
Bitmine has been accumulating weekly for 65 consecutive weeks. As of August 30, 2026, its total Ethereum holdings reached 5,901,112 ETH, accounting for approximately 4.9% of Ethereum's total supply.
