International oil prices briefly spiked as Saudi Aramco's oil facilities were attacked again.

BlockBeats News, September 7 - According to the Financial Times, Saudi Aramco's Jizan oil facility was attacked, just one month after a previous separate strike temporarily halted part of its refinery production capacity.

Two sources familiar with the matter said the company's oil infrastructure was attacked on Monday and it is currently assessing the extent of the damage. Jizan, Saudi Arabia's industrial city closest to the Yemeni border, has been repeatedly targeted by Houthi attacks in the past. Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said last month that the attacks had caused some disruption to oil production but had no material impact on operations or finances. One of the sources said the latest attack was similar in scale to last month's.

As a result, WTI crude oil rose $0.59 per barrel within 5 minutes, now quoted at $92.22 per barrel; Brent crude oil rose $0.62 per barrel within 5 minutes, now quoted at $95.86 per barrel.
