GPT-6 Astra is Coming Soon: GPT-6 Spotted in OpenAI Official Repository

Dynamic Insight Beating AI News: In OpenAI's official GitHub repository, GPT-6 has directly appeared. An OpenAI developer submitted a PR to the Computer Use sample project, adding two sets of environments, gpt6-js-image and gpt6-py-image, with the branch named codex/gpt6-computer-use-images.

These two environments are geared towards JavaScript and Python. The former is equipped with Playwright and Chromium, while the latter uses PyAutoGUI, Chromium, and the Linux desktop environment, allowing the Agent to see the screen, manipulate the browser, and interact with the desktop. The PR has not been merged yet and does not include GPT-6 API calls, focusing only on preparing the Computer Use runtime environment.

In a recent interview, Sam Altman mentioned that previous model interactions with computers have always been too slow or not user-friendly. However, Astra made him feel for the first time that it "has reached a level close to that of humans." He now directly instructs the model to find messages in different applications, rather than personally opening each search.
