U.S. SEC Chair Once Again Urges Congress to Advance CLARITY Act

BlockBeats News, September 3rd, SEC Chair Paul Atkins expressed his hope that Congress will soon advance the CLARITY Act and send it to President Trump for signature during an interview with Fox News. At the same time, the SEC is continuing to develop regulatory rules tailored to the blockchain and crypto asset market.

The U.S. Senate has scheduled a key procedural vote on the CLARITY Act for September 15th, requiring 60 votes to advance the bill to formal consideration. Even if the legislation remains stalled, the SEC and CFTC plan to move forward with crypto market oversight using their existing authority.
