Agent Collaboration App Raft to Open-Source Code, Founder Acknowledges Startup Drift

Dynamic Beating AI News: Botiverse, the development company behind the Agent collaboration app Raft, is preparing to pivot. Founder Richard Qian stated that after working on Raft (formerly known as Slock) for about six months, the team had at one point focused too much on growth and revenue. He openly admitted that they had raised more funds than needed, and that influencer marketing was also a mistake.

Over the next few weeks, Botiverse will open source several internal projects and will also make the Raft main repository's source code public. However, external PRs will not be accepted for the time being. Qian believes that the Agent is taking on more and more development work, and the previous open-source collaboration model of "external developers submit code, maintainers review and merge" may no longer be applicable.

Currently, Botiverse has already made Raft documentation, external Agent plugins, application scaffolding, and other projects public on GitHub. The Raft main repository is the next part to be open sourced.
