BlockBeats News, September 2nd, Strategy CEO Phong Le said in an interview with Bloomberg, "We do not make decisions based on Bitcoin's specific price. So what have we done? Over the past two months, although we have not bought Bitcoin, we have strengthened our balance sheet. Currently, Strategy has $72 billion in assets, including $65 billion in Bitcoin and $7 billion in cash reserves, with cash reserves increasing by 34% in the past two months."
At the same time, Strategy has reduced net debt from approximately $7 billion to zero. Therefore, by strengthening the balance sheet, we have actually increased our equity value, making it more profitable to sell MSTR and buy Bitcoin. That's what has changed in the past few months. Now, this has given us an 'indestructible' balance sheet, a 'fortress-like' balance sheet."
Earlier reports indicated that Strategy increased its Bitcoin holdings again last week after a two-month hiatus.
