Perceive Beating AI News Flash: Dyson has officially entered the oral care industry by launching the CameraJet electric toothbrush, priced at $499.99. It combines an electric toothbrush, water flosser, and camera in one device. During brushing, the camera autonomously locates the interdental spaces and then automatically sprays mouthwash for rinsing.
The toothbrush head contains a 100,000-pixel macro camera that analyzes 28 frames per second. The machine learning system was trained on 470,000 tooth images. Once it detects the interdental spaces, it triggers the spray within 100 milliseconds. The camera can also stream real-time oral footage to the MyDyson App. Dyson claims that the footage is not recorded or stored on the device or in the cloud.
To prevent toothpaste foam from obstructing the lens, Dyson has developed non-foaming toothpaste and low-foaming mouthwash. The base can refill the toothbrush's 12.5ml mouthwash tank in 3 seconds. This toothbrush was developed over 6 years with the participation of 661 engineers, and the entire system is said to run on 16 million lines of code.
