PwC points out that the growth in AI demand is putting pressure on various aspects of data center construction, such as power, equipment, cooling, racks, construction, and delivery. The real challenge lies not only in the scale of capital investment but in transforming these investments into reliable, usable megawatt-scale computing power. The report suggests that as the scale of AI infrastructure construction continues to grow, the industry will need a more unified full-stack coordination and delivery model to reduce integration risks between different stages.
Furthermore, PwC believes that a full-stack data center coordination approach could unlock approximately 5% to 8% in value across the entire project expenditure. Based on the projected cumulative investment of $5.1 trillion by 2030, the potential opportunity for this market corresponds to around $255 billion to $408 billion.
