Codex Fixes 8% Withdrawal Limit Bug: Same Limit Reused for 10%-50% Multiple Times, Users Experience Biweekly Reset

Dynamic Beating AI News Update: OpenAI has fixed 8 types of issues in Codex that would cause additional quota usage and has reset the quota for all paid users of Codex and ChatGPT Work. Tibo stated that depending on the usage scenario, the same quota is now expected to last 10%-50% longer.

The most wasteful token is `/goal`. In some tasks, even though they have been completed, they do not stop correctly and can consume 15%-70% of the weekly quota in a single use. Computer History repeating historical operations can also consume approximately 20% of the weekly quota in some cases. Issues with image compression, background memory, automated tasks, sub-agents, and MCPs have also been identified.

Furthermore, for users, the good news for the weekend might not be over yet. Yesterday, Tibo teased that Codex was about to reach a new user milestone and hinted at a celebration. After resetting the quota once early today following a bug fix, he mentioned, "The celebration will be postponed to tomorrow since the button has already been pressed today." Previously, when Codex reached user milestones such as 15 million and 20 million, resets were offered, so another reset is likely tomorrow.
