Elon Musk May Donate “At Least $1 Billion” to Republicans, House Speaker Plans to Meet with Him

BlockBeats News, August 28th, according to Politico, four sources familiar with the matter revealed that U.S. House Speaker Johnson is planning to meet with Republican super-donor Elon Musk in Texas on Friday. The meeting comes as Johnson is crisscrossing the state to campaign for Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections. This is the latest sign that Republican leaders are hoping Musk will make a significant contribution to help the GOP maintain control of Congress.

Sources said Musk's schedule is tentative, and the meeting may be subject to last-minute adjustments. The tech billionaire is reportedly considering funneling at least $100 million through his super PAC, Americapac, to support Republicans in this year's midterms, but it remains unclear where exactly this funding will end up.

Two of the sources mentioned above revealed that some Republicans believe Musk is contemplating directing some of the funds to key battleground districts for the House GOP.
