BlockBeats News, August 27, Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange service provider Coincheck announced that it has completed the registration for its electronic payment service on August 27, 2026, becoming the second company in Japan to obtain a license for this type of stablecoin-related business.
Coincheck stated that based on its previous partnership with the U.S.-based company Circle to expand the usage of USDC in Japan, it will gradually develop stablecoin and on-chain finance-related businesses. The company mentioned that stablecoins have price stability pegged to fiat currency, and can be used to achieve 24/7, fast, and low-cost transfers and payments.
